New Roof – Woodcliff Lake, NJ 07677

  • Post category:roofing

Many of our roofing projects start with a phone call about possibly repairing an existing roof. In this case the client called and asked for help with a leaking roof and some other related issues.

After a thorough roof inspection we felt the roof had to be removed so we can address all the issues from the rafters up. Typically roofs older than 15-20 years need to be replaced because repairs at that point are just “band-aids” that will likely need additional work in short order.

In this instance after we removed the old roof we found significant water damage to the plywood under the roof that necessitated replacing many sheets of plywood.

Starting from scratch this did allow us to do things correctly – above the plywood we installed the appropriate ice shield and felt paper to give a great base for new Atlas Pinnacle Pristine Pewter Grey algae-resistant shingles. We completed the job with new flashings and two lovely new Velux skylights.

The home owner loves the leak protection that comes with the installation of a new roof and how well it all blends in with the rest of their Victorian-style home.
